Telecom
Bermuda serves a number of companies with vehicle fleet tracking solutions using
one of our public radio networks and purpose built GPS hardware and software.
We have a long standing partnership with C.S.

require. If your company could use GPS tracking to improve efficiency
and accountability, contact us and
we'll arrange a demonstration of the powerful capabilities of our system.
What is GPS Tracking?
TrakManager is a highly specified intelligent vehicle
monitoring system, designed and manufactured in the UK, built using surface
mount technology. The unit is rugged and has an intelligent power management system and inbuilt diagnostics. All electronics
including GPS receiver and radio modem are contained within a single powder
coated metal case, which fits seamlessly into any vehicle. All data has
battery backup and is impervious to supply voltage fluctuations.
Effectively, vehicle mounted TrakManager units constantly monitor the location and status of a variety of aspects of the vehicle. This information is communicated in real-time to a host computer which logs and displays the current vehicle position and data. From this, the Host maintains a history of the vehicle's movements and activities, generating meaningful reports upon request, showing:

Historic Mode
Whenever TrakManager is outside network coverage, all data is stored together with the event time. Upon regaining network coverage, the data is automatically communicated to the host computer and the history logs are updated in time sequence. All real-time events are correctly time and location stamped. Geofence The Geofence system enables the fleet operator to automate many costly and time consuming, yet time sensitive, operations such as, advance warning prior to arrival at customer sites, depots, ports, etc. Each TrakManager unit in the fleet can be instructed to automatically notify the fleet controller when leaving, or prior to reaching, specific locations. These locations can be customer sites, owner depots, load collection sites, ports or any desired location. Vehicle & Load Security Each time the ignition of a vehicle is switched off, TrakManager throws a security fence around the vehicle. If the vehicle moves outside the fence, without certain criteria being met, the office host computer will be immediately notified. Upon notification, the host will alert the operator either on or off site, the latter by text message (if programmed). Temperature Logging When TrakManager is connected to either a Woodley Trucktemp, Vigil or CCI TranScan, a temperature reading (all ports) and I/O status will be collected from the logger, appended to the vehicle location/status data and stored or communicated to the office computer as appropriate. Upon notification of an event by the logger (i.e. door opening/closing, fridge enable/disable or a temperature alarm) TrakManager will immediately notify the office computer. All temperature data, including events, is logged by the host and a
history file generated for each vehicle. The file is available to view
or print, in either tabular or graphical form, between any chosen dates
and times. When viewed, colour is used to identify each type of event
to enhance clarity. |
